Estimate guide
What we need from you, how the Smart Crypto Calculator PC model is built, and how to read the written summary.
This guide sits beside our estimate sessions. Use it to prepare, or to decide which consultation fits.
Inputs that change the answer
| Input | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| GPU / CPU model and memory | Sets expected hashrate band for the algorithm |
| Wall draw (preferred) or TDP | Dominates cost in Hong Kong tariff bands |
| Electricity rate (HKD/kWh) | Converts watts into daily cost |
| Pool fee % | Subtracts from gross before you see net |
| Planned daily uptime hours | Forum “24/7” rarely matches a shared flat |
How a session flows
Gather
List cards, PSU, meter reading if any, and your tariff band.
Model
We build the profitability sheet with your numbers, stating every assumption.
Stress
We nudge difficulty and price within sober ranges — not moon charts.
Deliver
Written summary in HKD with a clear above / near / below break-even call.
Choosing a session
- New purchase or first build → PC mining profitability assessment
- Choosing between cards / PSU → Hardware configuration review
- Already running, numbers feel off → Hashrate & power verification
After you receive the PDF
Revisit the document when your tariff changes or you alter undervolt settings. A short verification session is usually enough; you do not need a full assessment every time.
When you are ready, request an estimate.
