Uptime fiction: modelling evenings-only mining

Forum calculators default to twenty-four hours. Many Hong Kong operators get eight to twelve before neighbours notice fan noise or the room tips past comfort.

Scale revenue with hours

If a card would earn X per day at full uptime, ten hours is roughly 10/24 of that gross — while some fixed costs (if any) and idle draw still linger. Power cost scales with hours too, which is why evenings-only setups are not simply “less of the same.”

Cooling after rain

Humid evenings raise intake temperatures in older buildings. Hashrate can sag without a dramatic thermal throttle warning. Log pool averages across a week before trusting a single screenshot.
